What is Re-open Nominations (RON)?
In most Students' Union elections, an additional 'candidate'/option is available. This is called 'Re-open Nominations (RON)'. You can vote for this option if you do not want any of the other candidates. You can treat this option as a normal candidate and include Re-open Nominations in your list of preferences.
Example
If Candidate B is your favourite candidate, you should rank them number one. If Candidate D is your next favourite, you should them number 2.
However, if you do not like any of the other candidates, you might rank 'Re-open Nominations (R.O.N.)' as number three. You can still continue rankings candidates after Re-open Nominations, as this 'candidate' may not win. In this example, you might rank Candidate C as number four and Candidate A as number five.
