Studying PgCert Post Compulsory Education and Training
Why do you want to do this role?
I want to help this university modernise itself and become a more inclusive and diverse London University. Bringing student issues to the forefront of everything I do and helping these shape and change school policy Due to the degree path, I am undertaking, I know this role will help me gain skills and experience that will help me find and grow in the jobs I get.
Why should students vote for you?
I am a disabled, LGBT, immigrant who wants to bring forward the voices of these and more minority groups in the university to help them feel more represented and included in the school.
My goal is to listen to as many groups as I can and represent them as best as I can to the university, so the changes that will be made have strong student backing and will represent what they want to have.
Regardless of what position I am given, I want to be a present and available middle person to help connect students to the school and vice versa to help make changes that make their time here as beneficial as possible.
What are your main priorities?
Docklands has an excellent selection on the ground floor of single-stalled gender-neutral bathrooms I want to bring such bathrooms to the other Campuses in the SU run areas. This will allow all students to have a safe bathroom experience.
Allow more students to Showcase their heritage, culture, and background outside of degree showcases. With regular digital releases to ensure all students can access this.
Improve the communication between school departments and the students. By making the websites more accessible, responses more straightforward, and removing the issue of miscommunication due to lack of understanding. Ensuring that all issues are dealt with within a good timeframe so that students can stay on their course.
