Why do you want to do this role?

As a biomedical student, I am passionate about enhancing the student experience for myself and my peers. My journey as a course representative has shown me the power of student voices in shaping our education system. I want to continue making a positive impact by taking on the role of School Representative. My motivation stems from a genuine desire to improve the academic and social aspects of student life, ensuring that every student feels heard and supported.

Why should students vote for you?

Students should vote for me because I am committed to tangible improvements that directly benefit our community. For instance, I will advocate for biomedical students to have their own dedicated social space for study, similar to what psychology students currently enjoy. Additionally, I aim to organize sessions where external mentors can provide valuable career advice tailored to future biomedical sciences students. My experience as a course representative has equipped me with the necessary skills to effectively communicate student concerns, negotiate with faculty, and implement positive changes. I am approachable, proactive, and dedicated to representing our collective interests.

What are your main priorities?

1. Student Support: Implementing initiatives to improve mental health resources, academic advising, and accessibility services to ensure that every student has the support they need to thrive.

2. Academic Excellence: Promoting bigger allotting of classrooms and longer breaks during lectures. Ensuring better sound quality for lecture recordings, provided before class. Incorporating more interactive sessions into our curriculum.

3. Campus Community: Organising events, workshops, and networking opportunities to foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie among students from diverse backgrounds.
