Join us for the spectacular Winter Lights festival. The trail will take you on a journey through 12 temporary light installations, as well as Canary Wharf’s ever-popular permanent light artworks.
Showcasing some of the most innovative light artists across the globe, the 2025 festival explores the transformative and otherworldly qualities of art and light, featuring portals, black holes and mirages. On the boundary between real and surreal, the line-up will take you from a towering stack of bathtubs, a tornado of lights orbiting a pylon, a bird in flight and a sink hole, to name a few.
With a Student Officer leading the way, you’ll have plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere and take some photos. To make sure you get to the right place, use What3Words (detect.tried.potato) and use City Mapper, Google Maps, Bing Maps, or Waze to navigate. We will be meeting outside the Canary Wharf sign. The full address is Heron Quays Road, London E14 5AJ.
The group will be leaving to walk to the first installation at 19:00 sharp so make sure that you arrive 5-10 minutes early. Make sure to bring water, debit card, snacks, comfortable shoes and your phone or camera!
