Elections 2025: Results announced

On Friday evening we had the honour of announcing our new student officers and school representatives elected for the 2025/26 academic year.

This year saw a significant increase in turnout, with our highest ever number of voters. More than 6,000 students (24% of our student community) voted. That’s nearly twice as many as last year!

Those students represented 361 different courses, as well as at least 95 different nationalities. We also saw an increase in undergraduate voters, with undergraduates making up 48% of our voters. It’s been brilliant seeing the diversity of students actively participating in student democracy here at the University of East London. Thank you so much to everybody who voted this week – our student-led work couldn’t happen without your participation.

Another huge thank you goes to each and every one of our candidates, as well as the campaign teams who have supported them over the past two weeks.
